PACE, Maria Gemma (Tripodi)
July 27, 1921 – August 26, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother and Nonna, Maria Gemma Pace, with her family by her side, at the age of 93 years.
Maria is survived by her loving family; son, Aldo (Judy); daughters, Teresa (Carlo) DeCol, Bruna (Carmelo) Campese and Loretta (Carmine) Maddalena; nine grandchildren, Ernest (Barbara) DeCol, Dina (Neil) Klassen, Lee Pace (Heather), Rhonda (Blaine) Bilyk, Caroline (Tony) Genest, Anthony (Tanya) Campese, Michael Campese, Colleen (Tony) DiPietro and Kristopher Maddalena (Stephanie); eighteen great-grandchildren; six great- great-grandchildren; brothers, Vincenzo (Angelina) Tripodi and Gesuele (Olga) Tripodi; sisters, Adelina Manella, Maria (Salvatore) Esposito and Onilda Timpano; sisters-in-law, Raffaeal of Spain and Aurelia of Italy; as well as nephews, nieces and many dear friends. Predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe; parents, Carolina and Bruno Mose Tripodi; brothers; sisters; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. M. Fiorino, the wonderful nurses and staff from Extendicare Eaux Claires, Dickinsfield Choice Program, and Rosslyn Place.
Prayers Wednesday, September 3 at 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT & Nunavut, 10985 – 124 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 0H9.
