DAY, John Patrick 1950 - 2007 On March 20, 2007, John Patrick Day, 56, passed away at his home in Edmonton. Born in Edmonton on July 30, 1950, John graduated with a BA from the University of Alberta and a MA from the University College, Dublin. History, music, politics and people remained life long passions, and his wit and kindness will be missed by many. John was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen (Moran) Day and Uncles Frank and Bill Moran. He is survived by his father, John Harvey Day; brothers and sisters, Bill, Hugh, Moira (Norman) and Colleen (Tracey) Day; Aunt Mildred (Day) Betcher (Herb) and Uncles Bob (Izabel) Day and Joe (Laureen) Moran; as well as his nieces, Kimberly Day and Kathleen, Domini and Linnet Gee and his nephew, Robert Day. Prayers Wednesday, March 28 at 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 - 111 Avenue. Mass of the Resurrection Thursday, March 29 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 12810 - 111 Avenue with Reverend Jimmy Tablan officiating. Cremation will follow in the Park Memorial Crematorium.
