Bob Blanchard

BLANCHARD, Bob April 26, 1956 - December 27, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Blanchard - son, brother, partner, father, grandfather and true friend. Bob had suffered a number of illnesses, most recent of which was leukemia. He was a skilled trucker, negotiating roads all over North America, including the Arctic. Bob was a mechanic through and through, always tinkering with some engine or another. He also worked in construction, building homes with his dad and later exploring many different avenues around these trades. Bob will be sadly missed by his treasured partner Linda and his youngest child Bobbi-Louise (Boo); his mom Barbara (predeceased by his dad Fred in 2004); his older children Robert, Ryan, Chelsea and Sherri and many grandchildren; his brothers Rick and Jim, sister Joni-Rae and many nieces and nephews. His beloved american cocker spaniels Elvis, Bailey and Teddy were dear to his heart and a source of great joy. Bob was thankful for the many house care professionals who cared for him at the U of A, the lab in Spruce Grove and considered his GP Doctor Duvel a friend. Bob, Linda and Boo felt embraced by the kindness and generosity of many friends and neighbours. Bob had a big spirit and even at the end was hopeful for the future. We will miss you.
