CLEGG-LAZZARY, Sheila
We regret to announce the passing of Sheila Anne Clegg-Lazzary. Born on August 2nd to Lena and George Lazzary in Murree, India, she was raised in England and after growing up in the shadow of WWII she was married to Michael Clegg and soon emigrated to Canada with her family in 1969. Sheila had a great interest in history and other cultures and raised her children to respect all people. Through tennis and university and music she made many friends, as diverse as she was. Sheila was a deeply spiritual person and a lover of dance, art, anthropology and iconography. She loved dining out with friends and became a staunch supporter of the local music scene in Edmonton. She is survived by her two sons Richard and Kim and two daughters-in-law Josephine and Mieko, and will be greatly missed by loving friends and family from around the globe. A woman of strong convictions and a belief in the power of music, she is dancing still. A service in her memory will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 11733 - 87th Avenue on Monday, April 9th at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Eileen Conway officiating, with a reception to follow. Street parking passes available at the door.
