FANKHANEL, Brenda Yvonne
(nee Hauser)
December 22, 1951 – July 30, 2012
Heaven made a call for the very best, and this angel spread her wings. It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Brenda Yvonne Hauser Fankhanel on Monday, July 30, 2012 after a lengthy battle with heart disease.
Born in Daysland, Alberta on December 22, 1951, Brenda was the eldest child of Yvonne (Vonnie) Hauser-Kerr, and Gerald Hauser of Rosalind, Alberta.
Brenda was a devoted and selfless mother, daughter, aunt and friend. She had a tremendous capacity for love and fostered many friendships in her short time on this earth. She adored life (and Mickey Mouse) and has been a friend to all. She always thought of herself as young and spent her time shopping, cooking, and planning family events. Brenda was extremely kind, loved unconditionally, had a gentle soul and a generous giving spirit. Her time on this earth was too short, but we will always have our memories together, and those can never be taken away. We will miss you more than words can say.
Brenda is survived by her daughter Amber (Michael); son Michael; loving grandson Ashton; brothers, Doug, Harv (Terry Lynn), Gord (Sue), and Ron (Peggy); mother Vonnie (Harry); as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, especially Fr. Alex Shahun OMI. She was predeceased by her father Gerald.
Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of the Prairies Catholic Church (5202 – 59 Street, Daysland, AB) on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through
In living memory of Brenda Fankhanel, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
