Harry LAVENDER Obituary
February 2, 1949 - July 31, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Harry Lavender after a brief but brave struggle at the age of 63.
Harry is survived by his loving children: Jefferson, Preston, Elizabeth, Katherine and Harrison; son-in-law Ryan Henry; granddaughter Kaden; brother Allan and sister Anne. Harry was predeceased by his mother Winnifred and father Harry.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10th, 2012 at the Spruce Grove Alliance Church (250 Century Road, Spruce Grove, AB T7X 1W6). Cremation will follow the ceremony.
Donations in Harry's memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Spruce Grove Branch (100 McLeod Avenue, Spruce Grove, AB T7X 0G2).

Remembering happy family times together,especially Christmas,"H" Strumming his guitar and leading the singing. Dancing around the street in the early hours of the morning waking all the neighbours. Allways remembered with love and affection.

To my dearest brother, you broke my heart when you went to Canada and i never thought it would break again. I can't believe that your gone. I shall always remember you whistling and playing your guitar and mouth organ. You were always there for me when i needed you the most and the whole of the Lavender family in England are deeply shocked by the news of your passing and we all wish that we could of been with you. Were having a family get togethor on Saturday 18th August to raise a glass to celebrate the life to the wonderful man you were. Our thought are with his children and his grand-daughter.
God Bless you H you will never be forgotton and i hope you have taken your guitar with you.

Was very sorry to hear about Harry. Sincere sympathy to all of his children/family. Reg and Harry worked together in Minor Hockey for a number of years.

He was such an amazing man, he touched the hearts of millions. Whether you knew Harry briefly or for many years he touched your heart and left us all with a million heatwarming memories. He is going to be missed dearly but will forever remain in our hearts. I love you Harry. Thank you for opening not only your home but your heart to me. I love you Lavenders, you have been family to me for many years and I am so so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you all. He was an amazing father. xoxoxox I love you all.

Thinking of all of the Lavender "kids" at this difficult time. I know your dad will be missed dearly. I for one have never been able to hear American Pie and not think of him. His love for music and life will live on through his children. xo Jody
