ALBRECHT, Reginald Francis
January 1, 1942 – November 11, 2012
It is with sad hearts we announce that our beloved Father passed away peacefully at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, on Sunday, November 11, 2012, with his family beside him.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Corrie of Vancouver Island and son Jim (Beth) Grande Prairie; grandchildren: Ashely Bevans (Travis) of Grande Prairie, Jesse (Jasmin) of Slave Lake, Rebekah Kenny (Tyler) of Edmonton and great-granddaughters Elizabeth and Penelope Bevans; brother Alfred (Lucille); sisters Marjorie Napper (Garth), and Debbie Rasmussen (Glen), all of Vancouver Island; sister in-law Gurli Albrecht of Calgary, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Reg was predeceased by his parents Sam and Hedy Albrecht and brother Edgar Albrecht. Special thanks to Dr. Andrews and the wonderful hospital staff on 5 north palliative care ward at the QEII Hospital for their tender, extra-loving care.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel (10005 107 Ave) with Pastor Marc Lapointe officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the QEII Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care Unit or to a charity of one's choice.
