HERMAN, Barbara (nee Corkum)
Barbara passed away peacefully at the age of 90 in Edmonton, Alberta. She was born in Pleasantville, Nova Scotia to parents Norman and Eugenie Corkum. She formerly resided in McLennan and St. Albert, Alberta. She will be lovingly remembered by her family; daughter Bonnie Renwick (David), sons Richard Christian (Grace) and Kurt Christian. Brothers Russell Corkum, sister Ann Ernst (Earle), sister-in-law Margaret Corkum, Doreen Love, Marie Christian and Valerie Christian. Grandchildren Cameron Renwick (Jacqui), Christine Pizzey (Cameron), Kimberly Charest (Eric) and Dena Wyna (Gregorie), great-grandchildren Ellin, Joshua, Ashley, Coen, Leah and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert (Brad) Christian, second husband Leo Herman, brothers Stanley, Sinclair and Allison Corkum and sister Naomi Russell. Barbara was active in Royal Purple and the United Church, teaching explorers and volunteering her time with children and teens in the community. She loved gardening, sewing, curling, writing poetry and stories. She enjoyed frequent visits to her family and home in Nova Scotia. Barbara will be best remembered for her outgoing personality, sense of humor and giving nature. She will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment of the urn will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
