DINTHEER, Alicia Margaret (nee Jones)
The Guest Book is expired.
And while she lies in peaceful sleep, her memory we shall always keep.
It is with great sadness we announce Alicia Margaret Dintheer passed away peacefully on October 21, 2012 with her devoted son Garry at her side, in the City of Medicine Hat, Alberta after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Alicia was born near Beaverlodge, Alberta and later moved to Edmonton which she considered to be home and where she remained until February 2012 when she chose to be transferred to South Ridge Village nursing home in Medicine Hat where she resided until her passing.
Alicia was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Margaret Jones of Beaverlodge and two daughters, Terry (2003) and Joanne (2007). She is survived by three daughters, Lynn (Vern), Saundra (Jim), and Marilyn (Steve) and two sons Garry (Annette) and George (Betty) and their families as well as several brothers and sisters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They will all be left to mourn the loss of a woman who endured many obstacles throughout her life while still maintaining her loving nature and sense of humour.
At the wish of Alicia, she was cremated in Medicine Hat by Cook Southland Funeral Home. A private ceremony will take place at a later date in which a celebration of her life will be honored. She will always be lovingly remembered and will never be forgotten in our thoughts or hearts. To our sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, all our love forever and may you rest peacefully in the arms of God.
