ASHMORE, Russell (Russ) Alan Robert
With heavy hearts and profound sadness the family of Russell (Russ) Alan Robert Ashmore announce the sudden passing of our grandfather, father, husband, son, brother and uncle at the age of 58 at home on Monday, December 10, 2012.
Russ is survived by his loving wife Jean Ashmore of 33 years, daughters Lindsay Ashmore, Jessica (Sam) Ferrer, son Matthew Ashmore, and grandchildren Lara and Zachary Ferrer. He is survived by his
mother Mary Ashmore, siblings Sharon (Andy) Stevens Deborah Strong, Garth Ashmore, Pam (Barry) Scott, Kevin Ashmore, Rhonda (Allan Deck) Ashmore. Nieces
and nephews; Geoffrey Strong, Melissa, Lauren and David Scott, Joy and Charissa Ashmore, and Abigail Deck. Mother-in-law Carolyn Pougnet. Brother-in-law Richard (Lavonne), Jennifer, Anthony and Erin Pougnet, brother-in-law Neal Pougnet, and sister-in-law Kim and niece Taylor Lafond. Russ was predeceased by his father Barney Ashmore and father-in-law Sidney Pougnet. Although we will miss him greatly, our Russ had a great faith and we know we will be reunited with him again one day.
Acts 2:38 Peter replied "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
The family would like to extend their appreciation for all expressions of sympathy we have received. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made to: "J and L Ashmore" RBC memorial account 04089-003-5027909, or, at any RBC branch until Jan 16, 2013 in trust for Matthew Ashmore. All memorial donations will be directed to a Registered Disability Savings Plan for Russell's son Matthew.
A memorial and celebration of his life will be held at 2PM on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Edmonton Church of Christ, 13015 - 116 Avenue, Edmonton, AB.
