"In my Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am, you may be also." John 14:2-3
In the early morning of January 5, surrounded by the love of her daughters, Ethel Madu slipped away to be with her Lord and Savior, whom she had so faithfully followed and served her entire life. While her passing leaves a huge void in our lives, we thank God for her life, and for now releasing her from all her pain and struggles. Mom leaves with us a legacy of unconditional love, kindness, courage, hard work and determination. We were honored to be her daughters.
She will be loved and missed forever by her daughters Lorraine (Gerald) Inkster (daughter-in-law Becky), Gail (Benoit) Guay, and Linda (Bill) Peterman; grandchildren Shane (Olga) Inkster, Patrick Peterman (Sarah), Katie Peterman (Daniel), Danny and Jacob Guay; four great-grandchildren Garnett, Garrett, Wyatt and Madi Inkster; two sisters Trudy (Walter) Kadatz and Doris (Walter) Jantz; her church family of Victory Lutheran in Devon; many nieces, nephews and life-long friends.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband Elmer, her parents Arnold and Elsa Handke, and her grandson Avery Inkster.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service, 4702 – 51 Avenue, Leduc, AB.
