McGREGOR, William
William (Bill) McGregor of Whitecourt passed away peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the age of 85 years.
Bill was born on February 27, 1927 at home in Lonira, AB. He was a very patient and gentle man, a wonderful Husband, Dad, and Grandfather. The love and affection shared between Patricia and Bill was admired by all who knew them, and stayed strong right to the very end. Bill was an intelligent well- spoken man, and everyone always listened to his sound advice. He was loved very much by his family and friends, and shared a special bond with all his grandchildren.
Bill leaves to mourn his loving wife, Patricia; daughters, Jody (Don) and Dina (Allan), both of Whitecourt; sons, Brian (Lois) of Grande Prairie, Darin (Milly) of Whitecourt, and Blayne (Joy) of Slave Lake; thirteen grandchildren, Paula, Corry, Michael, Grant (Shelley), Carmen (Dwayne), Cody, Kyle, Brittany (Luke), Brock, Dylan, Jesse, Max, and Cruz; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, Conner, Shantelle, Dustin, Maegan, Dawson, and Sevastian; and a sister, Flora (Les). Predeceased by his son, Barry, in 2003; parents, Catherine and William Forbes McGregor; sisters, Cathy, Mary, Nel, Grace, and Nora; and brothers, Jimmy, Ian, Eric, and Gordon.
A Funeral Service celebrating Bill's life will be held Wednesday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Hall, in Blue Ridge. Interment in Blue Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Friends of the Whitecourt Hospital, 20 Sunset Boulevard, Whitecourt, AB T7S 1M8 or to The Blue Ridge Cemetery.
