(nee Rogerson - 1917)
"There is a special place in Heaven for the mother of four boys"
Margaret Voss (nee Rogerson - 1917) died peacefully and without pain at her home in the Haven Hill Retirement Centre in Penticton, B.C. on January 21, 2013, at the age of 95. She has gone to rejoin the love of her life, Odell, her husband of 42 years and to dance again with him for eternity.
Margaret was born near Parkside, Saskatchewan on June 23, 1917, the second daughter of Harry and Lillian Rogerson from Leask, Saskatchewan and the fourth of seven children.
She is survived by her four sons, Garry (Maria) of Edmonton, Vince (Fay) of Edmonton, Tom (Jane) of Vancouver and Brent (Mary Ann) of Penticton; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
To the end, Margaret's sense of humor and quick wit touched the hearts of all those she met, winning her a special place in the hearts of the staff and "inmates" (her description of her fellow seniors) at Haven Hill. The family are very appreciative of the superb care and attention that she received at Haven Hill and the Kelly Care Centre (Summerland) where she spent the last five years. We are especially grateful for the kind and loving attention of Margaret's special friend, Tina Savoie, who visited often and added joy and contentment to her life as she completed the "back nine". A Celebration of Life will be held later this year in Edmonton on her birthdate, June 23.

So long mom…
