On January 30, 2013 a wonderful man, Ed Lemiski, lost his two year battle with lung cancer. He died at the home that he built and lived in for over 40 years. We surrounded him as he took his last breath. He was an amazing man - a devoted husband to the Lily of his Life, a wonderful father to Cory and Craig, the best father-in-law Erin and Kim could ask for, a magical Gido to all of his grandchildren, a fantastic brother, uncle, godfather, surrogate father, and a marvelous friend to a huge amount of people! A true testament to the amazing life he led; about 200 friends and family came to say goodbye to him in the three days leading up to his death. He did not lose his spark until the very end.
At Ed's request, Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Funeral Chapel (16204 Fort Road, Edmonton). In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ed may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or to the MS Society.
