BACHLEITNER, Illa May
May 1, 1937 - February 16, 2013
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Illa passed away in Grey Nuns Hospital with her loving family at her side after a long, painful struggle with heart disease.
Illa is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years Carl Arthur; daughter Debby (Tad) Drinkwater; son Darren (Sandy) Bachleitner; her two precious, devoted grandchildren Brandon and Amanda; sisters Nora and Eldine; brother Roger (Doris); sister-in-law Sophie; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Illa was predeceased by her parents Fred and Louise Heintz and her brother Gordon.
For so many years Carl and Illa have built lasting memories, together. Travel was commonplace, enjoying winter vacations to exotic locations while in summer months the motor home was always on the road to their favorite camping spots to enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains.
Many thanks to the medical professionals at Grey Nuns Hospital for the excellent care and comfort afforded Illa and her family.
Cremation has taken place. A family Celebration of Illa's Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
