It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Mike Yakimovich on February 15, 2013.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife Peggy-Lee Yakimovich; step-daughter Tanis (Faron) Kochanowsky; grandchildren: Rebecca, Shania and Kalob; mother Lydia Yakimovich; sister Linda (Jerry) Weichert as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Ed was predeceased by son Timothy in 2003; father Mike in 2012; brother-in-law Glen Power in 2001; maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 - 44 Ave., Stony Plain from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Ed's Life on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Stony Plain United Church, 5012-51 Ave., Stony Plain, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 202, 5913 - 50 Ave. Red Deer, AB T4N 4C4 or the Alberta Diabetes Association,1020 Li Ka Shing Centre for Health, Research Innovation, University of Alberta Edmonton, AB, T6G 2E1
