YANEZA, Alberto Cabreza
On April 8, 2013, Alberto Cabreza Yaneza passed away quietly in Edmonton, Alberta. He traveled a long journey; he was 88 years old. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 61 years, Rosita Fabella. A man of few words and "Santa Claus" to his family, he will be lovingly remembered by his children, Lynn (David), Leny (Rustico), Evelyn (Leynard), Marilyn (Roman), Terri (Abello), Rose (Alex) and Beth (Ricky); grandchildren, great-grandchildren - as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and extended family.
Alberto was born in Pagsanjan, Laguna, Philippines. He served as a policeman with the Pagsanjan Police Department for 25 years. He immigrated to Canada in 1987 and was an active member of the Edmonton Filipino Seniors Association where he served as Sergeant-at-arms.
We sincerely thank all the staff of the General Hospital 12Y for the excellent care he received the last two years.
Viewing and prayer services will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and April 14, 2013, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Howard & McBride Westlawn Funeral Home, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, Alberta. Funeral Service is on Monday, April 15, 10:00 a.m. at the St. Charles Catholic Church, 17653 - 112 Street, Edmonton, Alberta followed by Interment at Westlawn Memorial Gardens.
