Paul Dehod passed away peacefully May 8, 2013 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 87 (born in Edmonton on July 17, 1925). Paul will be fondly remembered by his children Kathy, Terry, Carolyn, Tom, Cheryl, Allan and Paulette along with their spouses, 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson, all of whom he cherished. Paul was predeceased by his wife Phyllis Dehod (nee Hill) in 2003 and Olga Dehod (nee Coma) in 1951 as well as his parents and six siblings.

Paul was raised near Vilna, Alberta and served in World War II in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After the war he returned to Alberta and fulfilled a long and distinguished career in the oilfield and mining industries, until he retired in 1979. He continued to provide technical consultations for several years following.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting throughout Alberta and British Columbia. After retirement, he and Phyllis spent many happy winters travelling to Arizona and Mexico and summers travelling around western Canada visiting friends and family.

Paul and his family wish to express deep gratitude to his caregivers at Boardwalk Retirement Community over the past years and acknowledge the excellent care he received at 6 East, Royal Alexandra Hospital.

At Paul's request, there will not be a memorial service or viewing.
