I heard many George Cutting stories growing up as my father served alongside him as a riding instructor at Depot. He was a well respected and legendary member. I pass along condolences from my mother Peggy and all the family of Ralph Cave #16786. It will be my privilege to show the colours at George's celebration of life today.

Brian and Family,
Our sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad. This must be a very sad time but we also imagine you must be very proud of your Dad's amazing legacy. He was a great Canadian and an inspiration to us all.

I have memories of Uncle George showing us his horses outside Calgary when my siblings and I were young. I also remember how he took over sending Christmas cards with hand-written messages to us after my aunt passed away. What a treat! To me, he is a legend, and though I had not seen him for many years, I will miss him.

George was always a gentleman and will be remembered as an exemplary RCMP Officer and good friend to all who knew him. He was a good friend to our family in Regina, in Edson on his trips through doing his job on retirement, and in Sherwood Park just a few houses away with his lovely wife Ida. We had a lot of fun and great times. Remembered by the family of the late RCMP Sgt. Major R.H. (Bob) Thompson. 13567.

I knew George Cutting during his time at the Kipnes Centre. He shared many experiences with me that I will never forget and it was an honor to know him. He has been a member of our poetry club since it started and many special moments were shared. Thinking of George's family.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. George taught my Father Charles (Chuck) Thompson while he attended Depot in 1953. Dad spoke of George quite often and always had very fond stories of their time shared.

Uncle George was an awesome person - a tribute to his family and his country. Despite his age he was never old, and he always enthralled everyone he talked to with his stories of life in the prairies and in the service of Canada. He will be remembered and missed by everyone who knew him.

We have lost one of the most memorable members of The Force. It is rare that you find someone of George's age who can recount time gone by so accurately. I am honored to have known him and wish his family all the very best in the days to come. My sincere condolences.

Anne and family. I only knew George for a short while (RCMP Vets bus tour, Ft Sask hospital and a few Vet gatherings). He was a true, western gentleman. His love for family and his pride in his RCMP career were obvious by the many stories he told. I especially enjoyed the tales of his favorite horses. I am so very sorry for your family's loss.

George was a legend in his own time ranging from a teen-ager to a highly respected member of the Force by all who knew him. He served Canada well!
