VITEYCHUK, Alex
On November 15, 2013, Alex Viteychuk of Edmonton, AB, formerly of Vilna, AB, passed away at the age of 98 years. We lost a wonderful father, deedee, and "veleke deedee".
Lovingly remembered by two daughters, Betty (Very Reverend Mykola) Sawchenko of Sherwood Park and Barb (Carl) Hansen of Innisfail; son-in-law, Peter Jenkin of Olds; five grandchildren, Tanya Landiak, Greg (Chantal) Sawchenko, Erin (Dana) Quartly, Lyle (Carmen) Hansen and Morgan Jenkin; and nine great- grandchildren, Danika, Nikolas, Zachary, Kayla, Burton, Jensine, Samuel, Kate and Kelly. Predeceased by beloved wife, Rose; cherished daughter, Karen; and great- grandson, Jacob. Alex was the last of the Viteychuk family of nine.
Funeral Rite Tuesday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Elia, 11833 - 66 Street. Very Reverend Mykola Sawchenko and Father Georg Podtepa officiating with interment in St. Stephen's Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 700, 10665 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5J 3S9.
