Though you cannot see me or touch me, I will be near.
"Surely Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and now I dwell in the House of the Lord Forever"
And so it came, with the dawning of the early Tuesday morning hours, Frederick breathed his last breath; he passed away peacefully in his sleep. His tremendous battle with cancer, his pain – both are now over, finally he is at rest in the presence of the Lord.
Frederick had a tremendous love for his mother Anne, who will miss him dearly. He will be remembered by his two older brothers, Robert and his fiancée Elizabeth and Raymond and his wife Dianne; his two sisters, Adeline Wills and Brenda Wills (Schroeder); special nephews, Preston Wills and his fiancée Dani, and Jeffrey Schroeder; two truly wonderful nieces, Colleen Belsito and her husband Derek and Lindsey Corsaut and her husband Adam; two of the most adorable little nieces, Heather Lauren Wills and Ashley-Paige Wills. In Frederick, we have lost a son, brother, uncle and a great uncle. Fred was predeceased by his Father Otto Wills in May 1994.
A family memorial service in celebration of Frederick's life will be held in the spring of 2014. At that time, Frederick's remains will be laid to rest at his Father Otto's gravesite located at Glory Hills Cemetery north of Spruce Grove.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the medical staff at the University of Alberta and the Grey Nun's Palliative Care Unit for their medical expertise and dedication to Fred during his final year of battling his cancer. You are all "really" special folk!
Thank you to our family and friends, and for some family members our work colleagues, for your support and words of condolence, we sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness and your considerations during our time of loss.
Rest in Peace Frederick, we will always remember you in love.
"In my Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:2-3)"
