Eugene KANTOR Obituary
On December 12, 2013, Eugene Kantor of Edmonton went to Our Lord, surrounded by his family, at the age of 76 years.
Father of Greg (Cheryl) Kantor of Cochrane, AB and Kim Kantor Forrey of Edmonton; grandfather to his special grandchildren, Drew and Nicole Kantor. Also survived by his brothers and sisters, Joe (Rita) Kantor, Genevieve (Vic) Sharun, Liz (George) Olynyk, Ted (Carol) Kantor and brother-in-law, Bob (Viv) Bernard. Predeceased by his wife, Germaine "Geri" (2013); father, Konstantine; mother, Mary (Petryk); brother, Orest and son-in-law, Ron Forrey.
Gene greatly missed his wife of 53 years, who recently passed away. We will all miss him, particularly his warm and wonderful sense of humor.
We are grateful to the doctors and nurses at the Misericordia Hospital ICU.
Divine Liturgy Monday, December 16 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 10825 - 97 Street. Cremation will follow. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Hope Mission, 9908 - 106 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 2N7.

RIP Gene. My sincere thoughts to you Kim and Greg, stay strong. Many years have passed but a lasting friendship remained, the thoughts of past gatherings, the humour and fun times bring back pleasant memories during a very sad time. We were all blessed with Genes friendship, humour, and Gene being Gene.

Dear Greg and Kim,
We were so sorry we could not be with you today. Hal is recuperating from major lung surgery. Please accept our sincere sympathy and know that we shall always cherish the wonderful memories of your Dad and are truly sad at the loss of our friend.

I'm so sorry to hear about Gene dying.I'm sorry I didn't get to say "Good-bye", Gene. I enjoyed our conversations. I enjoyed having you and Geri over for Christmas celebrations. We will miss you and your beautiful smile. Love Rochelle, Seth and Skylar.
