Ginette and I met before we ever saw each other. She was working at LFWA and I was in Esquimalt BC. I worked for J3 Plans and had to do the budget and knew nothing of FMAS (thats what it was back then). I was told to give this person a call and she would help me out. I will never forget how friendly she was on the phone. She helped me a few times and said if you ever get posted to edmonton come say hi. I said well cant see that happening but if i do i will say hi. The next year i was posted to Edmonton!. I didnt run into Ginette until a few years later at the WO/Sgt mess and we started talking and realized we had known each other from the telephone call. She was an amazing person, someone i would call a dear friend. I will never forget our movie night and we ended up chatting outside in the pouring rain laughing about men (sorry lol)...You are missed very much. I will always remember your strength and carefree attitude about things. Hugs forever

I was with Ginette at 1 Svc Bn in 2005. She definitely had that ''joie de vivre'' that only a few person could ever had every day. Good or bad day, you could always be counting on Ginette contagious smile to make a difference. My thoughts and prayers are with each member of her family at this time.

We were so saddened with the news of Ginette's sudden passing. Only met Ginette a couple of years ago when we became her first tenants, but she felt like family right away! John & I extend our deepest sympathy to her boys that she talked about always & all other family members, she was a wonderful person and will be missed. Our last chat with her was a couple of weeks ago and she was in the driveway on her bike talking about road trips she had coming up, we never know what tomorrow may bring! Cherish the memories you have of her and may they help you through the days ahead!

I've known Ginette close to 27 years now, back when she was an aircraft technician. I was a Pte, newly posted in Admin/RMS Clk at 442 Sqn working in their Maint Sqn Orderly Room. Ginette worked in AMCRO, just around the corner from my office.

We've crossed paths many times throughout our career as clerks often do and one thing that always remained a constant, her smile and her laugh.

I worked with Ginette again when I was posted to 1 Svc Bn and shortly after thereafter the opportunity to work with her son Jeremy.

You made a difference Ginette. You will be missed and forever remembered.

Rest my friend.

I was the supervisor of Ginette 1995-96 at Base Maintenance, Edmonton.

She always arrived at the office in the morning with a smile.

She was talking about her boys, which I met them.

She was calling me Sarg. When I retired in 1999 she came to my house to visit me and she was still addressing me as Sarg.

Well Sarg Ginette, I did not know what you returned to Edmonton. I am very happy that you were promoted and you served in dangerous environment.

Rest in peace my friend.

Ginette and I became friends when we worked together at 435 Squadron, CFB Edmonton. As a colleague, her professionalism was outstanding and as a friend, she was lots of fun. She was an admirable person, always, but what touched me most about Ginette was her pride and love for her boys.

Bonjour Ginette, I will always think of you with much fondness and respect. I remember how kind and friendly you always were and how much nicer you made my time in Kandahar. I appreciate your friendship and feel very sad that you have passed. I hope that you will rest peacefully and I wish your family much comfort at this time. Lots of love to you.
