James TANGJERD Obituary
On August 23, 2017, Jim of Edmonton, formerly of Red Deer, passed away at the age of 85.
Jim is lovingly remembered by his daughter Sharilee and her husband Lorne Fossum, two grandsons; Travis (Mindy), and Jeremy (Chantel) of Edmonton, great-granddaughter Peyton, sister Mildred (Ivar) Moen of Saskatoon, brother Don (Eleanor) Tangjerd of Ponoka, sisters-in-law Bernice Sogge, Delores Sogge, brothers-in-law; Dennis (Joan) Soggie and Earl Tysdal as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Carol (Sogge) Tangjerd, parents Peder and Ingrid Tangjerd, siblings; Amanda (Magnus) Lotten, Arne (Dora) Tangjerd, Erling (Gertie) Tangjerd, Harald (Clara) Tangjerd, Orv (Verna) Tangjerd, Irene (George) Gilbertson; brothers and sisters-in-law Len Sogge, Stan Sogge, Eunice Tysdal and Norma Tangjerd.
A Memorial Service will be held September 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home at 16204 Fort Road (access only off 153 Avenue), Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or a charity of your choice.

Mr. T was my grade 6 teacher in the 60s. He was a fantastic teacher, teaching his students to think for themselves. He was a kind hearted and gentle man. One of the very best.
