McElveen, Mamie Johnson - Rincon  
Mamie Johnson McElveen passed away March 30, 2015 at the age of 90. The Bulloch County native was a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. McElveen, and sisters, Jeanette Harrison and Alberta Jones. She is survived by her three children, Donna Regan, Ann Atterberry (Buddy) and James McElveen (Pat); six grandchildren, Michael Saucier, Jennifer Gibbs, Lisa Watson, Amy Atterberry, Patrick McElveen and Jarrad McElveen; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Shryock and Ian McElveen. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 2 from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, April 3 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The graveside service will follow Friday, April 3 at 2 p.m. in Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro. Remembrances may be made to the Effingham Hospital Auxiliary beauty shop, P.O. Box 386, Springfield, GA 31329.

McKuhen, Austin Michael - Rincon  
Austin Michael McKuhen, 21, passed away April 18, 2015, in Augusta. Austin was born in Savannah and was active in the Port Wentworth, Springfield and Rincon Fire Departments. Survivors include his wife, Emily McKuhen; parents, Willie and Michelle McKuhen of Rincon; paternal grandmother, Mary McKuhen of Meldrim and maternal grandmother Betty Lamb of Rincon. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Riggs Funeral Home. Services will be private. Condolences may be made at riggsfh.com
