Davey C. Odom, 60, of Guyton lost his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Feb. 14, 2013 at Hospice of Savannah.
Davey was preceded in death by his father, James E. Odom Sr. Survivors include his mother, Wylene Odom of Guyton; daughters, Jennifer Womack (Wesley) of Athens and Tracy Cobb (Jason) of Guyton; grandchildren, Allison Womack, Baylon and Brody Cobb; brothers, James E. Odom Jr. (Debbie) of Rincon and Randy Odom (Kim) of Rincon; sister, Karen Arnold of Springfield; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Davey graduated in 1970 from Effingham County High School, where he was a member of the glee club and the baseball team. He graduated from Savannah Votech as an electrician and served more than 30 years in the IBEW local 508. He was employed by International Paper for 15 years. Davey was an active member of Guyton Christian Church and the Christian Motorcycle Association of Statesboro, the Redeemed Riders. He loved sports, motorcycles and spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday, Feb. 17 at Riggs Funeral Home in Guyton. Funeral services were held Feb. 18 at Guyton Christian Church. Davey was laid to rest at Springfield Annex Cemetery.
