Frank Bennette Tarleton Sr.

Frank Bennette Tarleton Sr., 93, passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 at Memorial.
Mr. Tarleton was of the Baptist faith. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II, the Air Force during Korea and Vietnam and the Georgia Air National Guard for a total of 33 years. He was a member of the Solomon's Lodge No. 1, Alee Temple and GWRRA.
He was predeceased by his wives, Chloe Clark Tarleton and Wilma Mixon Tarleton; parents, Bundy and Kate Tarleton; stepmother, Weelock Earnhardt Tarleton; son, Ned Tarleton; and five sisters and brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Thigpen Tarleton; daughter, Brenda Tarleton Lord (Chris); son, Frank B. Tarleton Jr. (Terry Dasher); stepchildren, Diane Deverger (Bruce), Kathy Jenkins (Reuben), Judy Jenkins (Jack) and Rev. Buddy Thigpen (Susan); 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Verna Lee Davis and Doris Nesbitt (James); numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Harry Glick.
Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10:30 a.m.-12 noon at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be Saturday, Sept. 7, at 12 noon in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
