Matra Zittrouer Fulcher, 91, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at Effingham Extended Care.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield where she was devoted to the Lord and all of her many friends and family. She had a long and happy life and was filled with God and family in every way. All of "Mama Matra's" friends and her family will have many years of wonderful memories and will keep her close to heart, in their minds, and in their prayers. Her greatest service, pleasure, and reward was being a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother."

"Mama Matra" was loved deeply by her husband, Lloyd C. "Boots" Fulcher Sr., who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, LaVonne F. Sutton and Ronnie of Salina, Kan., Lloyd C. Fulcher Jr. "Buddy" and Janice, David F. Fulcher and Marlene, Dorothy "Dottie" F. Rahn and Grady, Kaye F. Barrs and Frank, and Sheila F. Saxon, all of Springfield; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Thursday, Feb. 6 from 5-7 p.m. at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services was Friday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Springfield.
Interment followed in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
