RINCON - Annie Maree Oglesby Harden went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at the age of 93.
Maree was married to the late R.L. Harden Jr. for almost 60 years. They loved camping and spending time with their family.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a caring and giving heart and shared many of her handmade gifts with others. Her hobbies included playing the piano, singing, quilting, crocheting, sewing and gardening. She enjoyed preparing meals for family, friends, and neighbors. She loved to worship the Lord with her church family and was a longtime member of Rincon United Methodist Church and the W.W. Oglesby Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, four sistersand six brothers.
She is survived by sons, Danny Harden (Brenda) and Ron Harden (Cherry); daughters, Brenda Claybrook (Jerry), Glenda Chitwood (Ray) and Beverly Brown (Michael); sister, Martha Zeigler; brother, Morris Oglesby (Maxine); 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 7, 2018, at Rincon United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Rincon Cemetery.
Pallbearers included her grandsons: Les Harden, Kris Claybrook, Michael Chitwood, Cory Claybrook, Brandon Harden, David Brown, Derek Brown and Andrew Claybrook. Honorary pallbearers were the W.W. Oglesby Sunday school class members.
The family would like to thank the staff at Effingham Care Center for their compassionate care of Maree.
