GUYTON-Eunice Zipperer Ambrose, 92, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007 at Effingham Hospital.
The Effingham County native was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, the U.M.W., and was formerly the superintendent of the youth department. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Conrad Zipperer and Bessie Alberta Nease Zipperer; husband, Thomas Woodrow Ambrose; and brother, Howard Nease Zipperer.
Survivors include her daughter, Martha Lynette Brewster (Woody); son, Danny Philip Ambrose, (Ann); sister, Edra Pierce (Bernie); four grandchildren, Melissa Brewster Thompson (Andrew), Randy L Brewster (Michelle), Michael P. Ambrose (Frances), Jason C. Ambrose (Laura); 10 great-grandchildren, Wesley, Christopher, Gracen, Daniel Ambrose, Mallory Ferguson, Kristen and Sarah Pierce, Dalton and Lane Brewster, and Whitney Thompson.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethesda United Methodist Church. Mrs. Ambrose will lie in state from 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
