Henry Carlton Giles, 76, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at The Place at Pooler Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Dec. 16, 1937. He liked to fish, hunt and go to the creek. All his friends called him "Tommy" and his wife "Jerry."
He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Jerlean Giles; two brothers, Joey Giles (Betty) of Pooler and Herold Giles (Sandy) of Colonels Island; seven children, Audrey Michelle Farr, Jerlean Candace Veber, Jerry A. Bowlin, Toni Hill, Jay Wilkenson, James M. Bowlin and Misty Jordan (adopted); sister-in-law, Gloria Giles; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Sammy (Nik) Giles, and a grandson, Jessie Bowlin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10 at 2 p.m. at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory at the Bank of America branch in Rincon.
