Mr. Herman Lee Robbins, 92, of Bloomingdale passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Austin E. Robbins and Mae Dell Wise Robbins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Glover Robbins; a son, Ray Austin Robbins; a grandson, Robert Lee Robbins Jr., as well as two sisters, Lou Forest and Leitha Granna, and a brother, Delano Austin Robbins.
Mr. Robbins was a paratrooper in the Army during World War II, serving in the Philippines. He later worked for American Can Company, Layne Atlantic Company and Rowe Well Drilling.
Mr. Robbins is survived by his children, Robert Robbins, Linda King (Jack), Wanda Houston (Fred) and Richard Robbins (DeeDee); 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral and burial was conducted in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
