GUYTON - Jack Walter Tuten. Jr. passed away Oct. 27, 2018, at Landmark Hospital after injuries sustained in a vehicle accident Oct. 2, 2018. He was 70 years old.
Born in Guyton, he was a member of Guyton Christian Church and a 1965 graduate of Effingham County High School. He was retired from CSX railroad after 35 years.
He was a member of Guyton Masonic Lodge #428 F. & A.M. and American Legion Post 209.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eunice Dickey Tuten.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce Ann Shearouse Tuten, and their two daughters, Amy (Slade) Helmly and Vicki T. Renfroe; his father, J. Walter Tuten Sr.; his two sisters, Wanda T. Lee and Janice (Joe) Oliver; grandchildren, Annabeth and Saralyn Helmly, and Josi, Ryan Renfroe and Carter Renfroe.
Funeral services were Oct. 29, 2018, at Guyton Christian Church. Interment followed in Guyton Cemetery with a Masonic service.
