Joy Faye McLoon Newman, 41, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012.

She was born in Brunswick but lived in Effingham County for a number of years. She was a loving mother and homemaker.
Joy was preceded in death by her father, Herman McLoon.
Survivors include: her three daughters, Heather Newman of Rincon, Evelyn Newman of Guyton and Tori Newman of Guyton; mother and stepfather, Beverly McLoon Taylor and Donald Taylor of Guyton; grandmother, Greta Blanton of Brunswick; two brothers, David McLoon of Sylvania and Charles McLoon of Guyton; three stepbrothers, Adam Taylor of Ohio, Vince Beacher of Uvalda and Andy Beacher of Uvalda; finace, Scott Pinholster and daughters; two grandsons, Jason Newman of Sylvania and Nathan Jackson Jr. of Guyton; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the residence of Debra Stansbury, 337 Shirley Dr., Guyton.
Memorial services were held Thursday, Jan. 5, at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Riggs Funeral Home.
