Mrs. Madeline Rowland, 80, of Midway, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born in Ludowici to the late James Virgil and Evener Florence Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Rowland, a daughter, Caroline Bonita Rowland, and a grandson, James Michael Driggers Sr. She retired as a seamstress and was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed fishing and cooking, especially baking cakes.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia A. and Larry Dunlap; three grandchildren, Melissa R. Crites, Amanda and Kris Meekins Sr., and Bryan and Charlene Howell; 17 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and several great-great-great-grandchildren; her twin brother and sister-in-law, Lester E. and Linda Price; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at First United Pentecostal Church located at 1735 Grove Point Road in Savannah from 11 a.m. until noon. The funeral will follow in the sanctuary at noon. burial will occur at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
