Marian Theresa Donley, 78, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at Effingham Hospital.

Born April 18, 1935 in Baltimore, Md., she moved to Savannah in 1982. She was a member of Silver Hill United Methodist Church, King's Daughters and Sons, and volunteered at the Manna House in Rincon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Mildred Long; sister, Gloria Holder; and husband, George T. Donley.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Ward, James Ward, Wanda Parrish and Curtis Barnett; brother, Melvin C. Long Sr.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 30 at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West.
