Martha Jane Bragg Edenfield, 86, passed away at her daughter's home in Jacksonville, Fla., surrounded by loving and devoted family on Feb. 13, 2014. Martha was a proud Savannah native and lifelong resident who spent the last 10 years of her life in Rincon.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, David Hyndel "Blackie" Edenfield, two brothers, five sisters, three nieces and one nephew.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: daughter Deborah Jane Edenfield McLean and William Schlottermiller of Jacksonville, Fla.; David Brent and Janice Edenfield of Savannah; Stephen Reid and Edwina Edenfield of Harrisburg, N.C.; three granddaughters, two great granddaughters, one great-grandson, one great-great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by family and her many lifelong friends.
Martha retired from Belk after a long career as a credit manager. She was an accomplished artist and former member of the Bonaventure Historical Society. As a member of BHS, she was involved in a mapping and cataloguing project to preserve a record of the grave sites in the historic cemetery, a place she dearly loved.
A graveside service will be held in the spring when Bonaventure Cemetery is in full bloom. Family and friends will be invited to attend and participate in a celebration and remembrance of her life.
