SAVANNAH- Richard Allan "Dick" Belcher, 76, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Brockton, Mass. and educated in Haverhill and Amesbury, he retired from the U.S. Air Force and Local #1475 of the International Longshoremen Association. He was a member of Windsor Forest Baptist Church, the Eighth Air Force Historical Society, life member of the Eighth Air Force Heritage Museum Commander's Club, and flew combat in Korea and Vietnam.
Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Janie Ruth Anderson Belcher; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margie and Marion Sullivan of Springfield; and other relatives.
Visitation will be 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Graveside funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Springfield Cemetery Annex.
