Mrs. Una McRae Hinson, 93, of Sylvania, died Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2012, in Syl-View Health Care Center, Sylvania.

She was born in Valdosta, was a devoted member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church, served on the Screven County Hospital Auxiliary, and was a homemaker.
Her husband, Albert Clifton "Red" Hinson Sr., her parents, Emmette Ulrich and Georgia Lee Vickers McRae and a brother, Emmette Ulrich McRae Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie H. and Herbert Hill, and Vicki H. and Tommy O'Barr all of Sylvania; a son and daughter-in-law, Albert Clifton Jr. and Barbara Hinson of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Hinson of Sylvania, LeighAnn Sapp of Guyton, Mitchell O'Barr of Statesboro, Will O'Barr of Auburn, Hank Hill of Woodstock, Jay Hill of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Clark O'Barr of Sylvania; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hinson were held Wednesday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at the Liberty Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim Hope officiating. Burial was at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Grandsons of Mrs. Hinson served as pallbearers.
Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home of Sylvania is in charge of all arrangements.
