RINCON- Walter S. "Wally" Ambrose, 83, died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at his residence.
The New Jersey native moved to Savannah in 1953. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was the owner/operator of the Ambrose Agency and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Survivors include his three daughters, Linda Ambrose Peebles of Huntington Beach, Calif., Diana Ambrose Makacinas of Irvine, Calif., and Laura A. Ambrose of Savannah; brother, Ronald F. Ambrose of Rincon; two grandsons, Sean A. Peebles and Brian A. Peebles; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rosary service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey West.
