Woodrow W. "Bubba" Oglesby Jr., 72, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at his residence surrounded by family and friends.

The Effingham County native was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield, the Ogeechee River Fox Hunters Association, and retired from Rives E. Worrell Construction Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow W. Oglesby Sr. and Jennie Mae Helmly; sister, Lenice Burris; and brother, James L. Oglesby.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara D. Oglesby of Springfield; children, Kevin (Missy) Oglesby of Charleston, S.C., Robert (Colleen) Webb of Smithfield, Va., and Jason (Tiffany) Webb of Springfield; grandchildren, Heather Calo, Jeffrey Jerald, Saylor, Jacey, Luke and Tanner Webb; great-granddaughter, Kloe Calo; sisters, Mary Kieffer, Jeanelle Henley and Janice Miller; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Sunday, Dec. 1 at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Springfield.
Interment followed in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
