Charles William "Billy" Catterton, born Dec. 26, 1976 in Anchorage, Alaska, and a resident of Chunchula, Ala., passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011.
He was a 1995 graduate of Satsuma High School and a 1993 Alabama State Golden Gloves Boxing Champion. He was also a member of the Boilermaker's Union Local No. 112 and was a disabled veteran who served in the U.S. Army in Korea and in the continental U.S.
He is survived by his parents, Rob and Julie Catterton of Hollywood, Fla, and Cathy and John Strenth of Alabama. He is the grandson of the late Charles B. Catterton and Frances Ann Catterton. He is also survived by two aunts, Patricia Gay Davis of Ellabell and Bonny Cox of Council, N.C.; three cousins, Debbie Creech of Savannah, Guy Creech of Rincon, and Ryan Cox of Council, N.C.; several relative and friends.
A memorial service was held at Thursday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
