David Groeninger Obituary
He was born in Elgin, May 18, 1939, the son of Joe and Dorothy L. Fierke Groeninger. He graduated from Elgin High School in 1957 and then from Illinois State University in 1961. He married Rebecca "Becky" Grim in Bloomington on May 18, 1963. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Groeninger served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was the president of Practice Management Springfield LTD. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Becky; two daughters, Cindy (John) Jordan of Springfield and Lori (Shaun) Carson, of Spring Hill, Fla.; son, Rick (Trish) Groeninger of Auburn; three grandchildren, Jereme and Hanah Groeninger and Cassidy Carson; mother, Dorothy Groeninger of Crystal Lake; two sisters, Sandy (Bob) Holub, of Crystal Lake and Ann (Henry) Luck of Pine Top, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 1, 2007 with burial following in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield.

Becky, I am so sorry to learn of Dave's passing. I have called several times to meet you for lunch, but I have always gotten your machine. Today I got a lady that told me you'd be back at noon and would be home until you went to the funeral home, I never dreamed it was for Dave.
