Lawrence Elbert "Larry" Key

Lawrence "Larry" Elbert Key, age 73, of 137 Windy Hill Road, Statesville, passed away at home July 21, 2013, after an extended illness. He was born May 7, 1940 in Yadkin County, to the late Herbert Allen Key and Kate Irene Key. He was retired from Kewaunee Technical and was of the Baptist Faith.



In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Four brothers; Cecil, Hassel, Rex and Max Key. Three sisters Elizabeth Wagoner, Georgia Long, and Ruth Beeson



He is survived by his wife, Linda Dixon Key of the home, two daughters Dina L. Little and husband Rodney of Statesville, and Carla E. Key of Troutman. Two sisters; Shelba Lawson of Elkin and Kay Jolly of Roaring River. He had three Grandchildren, Candice L. Little, Zackary E. Little, and Seth I. Penrose.



Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, 3 pm, July 24, 2013 at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church; The Rev. Jamie Hamrick will officiate. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm, prior to the service at the church.
