MURRELLS INLET, S.C. — Bernadette Exilda Moran, 99, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at National Health Care. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Jean and Exilda Mercier. She moved to Murrells Inlet in 2010 to be near her daughter. She lived at Garden Manor Senior Living. Previously she lived in Elkin, Mrs. Moran was a homemaker, was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, and also a member of Herring Point Golf Ladies Club. She was an avid golfer and last golfed in March 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John Bernard Moran; a son, Brian Moran; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, John Moran and his wife Judy of College Station, Texas, and Kevin Moran of Peoria, Arizona; two daughters, Bernyce Moran of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and Deborah Maurer and husband William of Murrells Inlet; 10 grandchildren, John Labrie, Mark Moran, Michael Moran, Matthew Moran, Kristen Ayers, Christopher Moran, Joshua Maurer, Patrick Moran, Sean Moran and Maggie Moran; and 11 great-grandchildren.
