NORTH WILKESBORO — Mrs. Bessie Gaynell "Nell" Minton Jennings, 90, of North Wilkesboro, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Wilkes Senior Village. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Reins Sturdivant Chapel with the Rev. Bud Shepherd and the Rev. Stuart White officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 to 11 at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home prior to the service. Mrs. Jennings was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Wilkes County to Benjamin Minton and Ila Porter Minton. Mrs. Jennings was a member of Pine View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe "Jack" Spencer Jennings; grandchild, Jerry Wayne Jennings; two sisters, Ruby Bowers and Ruth Johnson; six brothers, Glenn Minton, Willie Minton, Edgar Minton, Clyde Minton, Bill Minton and Wayne Minton. She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Kilby and husband Douglas of North Wilkesboro; three sons, Larry Jennings and wife Jean of North Wilkesboro, Jerry Jennings and wife Reba of Moravian Falls, Randy Jennings and wife Jean of Wilkesboro; nine grandchildren, Steven Kilby and wife, Bethany, David Kilby and wife Amanda, Scott Jennings, Jason Jennings, Jeffrey Jennings, Rebecca Gilley, Christy Jennings, Kevin Jennings and wife Brittany; seven great-grandchildren, Kloee Kilby, Dylan Pearson, Cadie Kilby, Ethan Sloop, Kaylee Jennings, Christian Stephens and husband Elias, Taryn Hendren; two great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Stephens, Xoren Stephens; brother, Junior Minton and wife Alma Jean of Jonesville.
