BANALES Margarito Banales, Sr., beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 29, 2012, at age 95. He was born on March 14, 1917 in Valentine, Texas. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Consuelo V. Banales and is survived by his sisters, Maria Valencia, Celestina Delgado and brothers, Matilde and Ignacio Banales. Our father worked for ASARCO as an assistant mechanic for 34 years. He loved to be in the garden planting his chiles and tomatoes. Left to miss him forever but always in our hearts are his nine children: Margarito, Jr., (Eva), Joe D. (Ellie), Xavier (Anna), Manuel (Peggy), Jaime (Audrey), Mario (Alicia), Martha, Tony (Kim) and Miguel, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to Socorro Gonzalez for the loving care she gave to our father as well as our mother. We also express our gratitude to all the medical personnel who treated our father throughout the years, and especially the nursing staff at Kindred Hospital, in providing care for our father and keeping him comfortable. Pallbearers: Margarito, Jr., Joe, Xavier, Manuel, Jaime, and Tony Banales. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Eulogies at 7:00PM at FDA Martin Central, 3839 Montana Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at FDA Martin Central. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
