Our beautiful mother Celia Rocha took her last breath at her home quietly and serenely on Saturday March 8, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Maria Rocha, brother Roberto Rocha, sisters Cruz Rocha and Ani Moreno, granddaughters Yvette Kennedy and Teli Shepard. Celia Rocha was born in Los Angeles, California on October 12, 1925. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, three times over. Our mother retired from Levis Strauss & Co. after 30 years of service. She loved spending time with her family, listening to music, reading and keeping up with her home; MOM was a clean freak!!! Celia is survived by her three children; Grisel Smyth, Hilda Amezcua and Nicholas Subia and siblings Eva Chacon & Enrique Rocha. She had the love of her 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We would like to thank Hospice of El Paso and mom's granddaughter April Smyth for their tiredless effort in keeping mom comfortable through her passing. Visitation will be held from 8-11 am on Saturday March 15, 2014 at Crestview Chapel, with a Rosary Service at 11 am and a Chapel Service.Interment to follow at Evergreen (Alameda) Cemetery.
