Kenneth D. Farah, 64, our loving husband, father, and brother joined the humble embrace of his Lord Sunday March 2, 2014. The sudden passing of a sweet, gentle, loving, and faithful servant is a loss for all who knew him. He was deeply invested in his religious communities at St. Clement's Church & School, El Paso; and St. Michael & All Angels, Dallas. He contributed much to philanthropic efforts through The El Paso Symphony Orchestra, The United Way, and most recently UTEP & New Mexico State entrepreneurship programs dedicated to the development of young talent in the region. His brilliant mind was always in search of an intellectual challenge. He loved aviation, music, and sailing. His wry sense of humor endlessly entertained everyone around him. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Betty Farah. He is survived by his wife Lysa, daughter Mary Elyse and son-law Huw McDonald, son Mattison; his brother Jim and partner Ken Laughran, Jim's daughters with Cynthia Haines, Elise and Alexa and husband Stefano Ranfagni; his brother Robert and wife Anne, their son Chris, daughters Kateleen, Shelby and Kendall; and his sister Haleen and husband Fred Zweifel, their sons Dillon & Cody. His love, wisdom, dedication, and integrity are irreplaceable. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 7 at St. Clement's Church at 2pm, 810 N Campbell Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam can be made to St. Clement's Church and School, The Center for Research Entrepreneurship and Innovative Enterprises at UTEP, and The El Paso Symphony Orchestra.

Being reminded of Ken on the fifth anniversary of his death makes it no easier to accept the loss of my lifelong friend. He was a talented, kind, compassionate soul that I remember only with fondness. I've thought of him on many, many occasions since his passing, always with a smile on my face and in my heart. He taught me many things which I recall to this day. Life is short, whether one lives to be only 64, as Ken did, or 94. Let your friends and family know how much they are loved and cherished. Rest in peace, dear friend. You are not forgotten.

Was an amazing mentor to me. He taught me to approach my life in ways that I never imagined. He still had much to teach me. I pray that he can still mentor me from heaven. He can never be replaced!
Goodbye, teacher!

You couldn't help but love this guy. His focus was seldom on himself, but rather, on those many of us who merely enjoyed being in his presence. Rest in peace, Ken. You left us too soon.

Years... a lifetime has past and I have thought about Kenny (I didn't ever know him as Kenneth) many times....always with fond memories. I am so sorry to hear of his passing but, like others, want to wish his family and loved ones my best wishes for them. I just want you to know...your husband, your dad, your brother, your friend MADE A LIFETIME IMPRESSION ON ME and I will ALWAYS remember him. May God rest his soul....
