ORNELAS JR., JESUS Jesus Ornelas passed away on March 5, 2014. He was preceeded in death by his parents Jesus & Teresa Ornelas, Sr. and daughter, Rebecca Gina Ornelas. Jesus was a beloved husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. To all who knew him it was apparent what a sincere and devoted man he was with everyone who crossed his path. Jesus graduated from Bowie High School in 1964, immediately after, he joined the United States Marines. He served from 1965-1969. Jesus was a proud Vietnam Veteran as well. He went on to retire from AAFES in 1996. In 1982 he & Virginia Ornelas were married. He was an exceptional father to his daughter Christy Ornelas. His passion for music was obvious at a young age. Jesus was a trumpet player for the Bowie Band. He will be missed by all who knew him. Jesus is survived by his wife Virginia Ornelas, daughter Christy Ornelas, brothers, Carlos & David, sisters, Martha Martinez & Terry Bustamante, 3 grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm, Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Crestview Funeral Home Chapel with a Vigil Service at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 9 am, Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will be at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
